Motor carrier/truck safety
While large trucks are involved in about 12 % of fatal crashes on Wisconsin roadways, the driver of the truck is at fault less than one-third of the time, and the occupants of the other vehicles are usually the ones injured or killed. The Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program provides enforcement and vehicle inspections. Roadways are identified for safe truck travel.
Driving safely around trucks
Your Vision Decision should be to stay out of a truck's "No-Zones." There are four "No-Zones" around a large truck where the driver is unable to see: the front, the back and the sides of the truck.
Be safe. Don't hang out in the "No Zone."
