US 12 (Whitewater to Elkhorn Road)

Project overview

The US 12 (Whitewater to Elkhorn Road) project, in Walworth County, involves resurfacing seven miles of US 12 from the city of Whitewater to the WIS 20/67 intersection.

The resurfacing consists of milling, mill and relay, placing new asphaltic pavement, removing and replacing the existing beam guard, placing a 42 inch concrete barrier wall, re-striping, and signage.

Construction, by B.R. Amon & Sons, began June 5, 2009 with an estimated project cost of $3 million.
