Connections 2030: Wisconsin's long-range transportation plan

Welcome to the Connections 2030 Web page! WisDOT is currently developing a long-range transportation plan for the state, called Connections 2030. This plan will address all forms of transportation over a 25-year planning horizon: highways, local roads, air, water, rail, bicycle, pedestrian and transit. The overall goal of the planning process is to identify a series of policies to aid transportation decision-makers when evaluating programs and projects.

The links on the left provide the following:

  • A description of the plan;
  • The approach being used for corridor analysis;
  • A timeline for the planning process;
  • An overview of public involvement activities; and
  • Contacts to get involved in the process.

WisDOT wants your input!

Public input and involvement are critical for Connections 2030 to be effective. Public feedback helps ensure the plan reflects the state’s values and priorities.

The Web site will be updated often, so check back on a regular basis for plan updates, public input opportunities, and other plan-related information.

What's new?

WisDOT is anticipating an October release of the Connections 2030 Draft Plan. Public information meetings will soon follow. Please check back soon for more details.
