• Feb. 2012 - ROD signed by Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) following Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS)

2011

• 2011-2013
  • Preliminary and final freeway design
  • Start to address real estate and utility issues
• Fall 2011 - Record of Decision (ROD) from Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) is anticipated to follow FEIS.
• FEIS available for review and comment (Note - Comments were due Nov. 14, 2011)
• Oct. 14, 2011 - FEIS published
• Fall 2011 - WisDOT selected preferred alternative and submitted FEIS, with Reduced Impacts Alternative as preferred alternative, to FHWA for publication
  
  
• Aug. 10, 2011 - WIS 100 business meeting
• Summer 2011 - FEIS completed. FEIS identifies final preferred alternatives and summarizes input received from public hearing and comments on Draft EIS (DEIS) and Supplemental DEIS (SDEIS)
• May 13, 2011 - Preferred alternative selected
• Apr. 4, 2011 - Comments on SDEIS were due
• Mar. 23, 2011 - Public hearing

• Environmental/engineering analysis

2010

• 2010-2011
  • Refinement and development of new alternatives
  • Preparation of SDEIS based on feedback received from public and coordinating agencies

• Jun. 2009 - Public hearing to solicit comments on DEIS
• Environmental/engineering analysis

2007

• Environmental/engineering analysis
• Corridor study started

All work and timelines on the Zoo Interchange are dependent on state and federal funding and on all appropriate state and federal review and approval processes.
