Opportunities for public input and involvement

Many opportunities for public input and involvement will be available during the preliminary and final design process:

• Community sensitive solutions - WisDOT will engage community members in discussions about design elements that ensure a transportation facility is right for the community.
• Noise barriers – Following the TRANS 405 process, WisDOT will involve communities, neighborhoods and property owners most impacted by placement of noise barriers.
• Adjacent roadways, freeway and interchanges – Detailed planning and design for improvements to local roads, adjacent arterials, interchanges and the freeway will include community officials, neighborhoods, businesses and impacted property owners.

  Residents and community leaders shared their thoughts about ramp locations, congestion issues and local road considerations. Study team is using these comments and ideas to help develop alternatives to improve the interchange.
