Detours

The detour has been removed, the project is complete.

Construction update October 20, 2011

Traffic impacts

  • WIS 13 is officially open.

Work completed (Since last update)

  • James Peterson Sons finished shaping and placing topsoil from the south project limits to Impala Drive. They also finished grading for driveways and parking lots.
  • Chippewa Concrete Services continued to pour colored concrete sidewalk in the boulevard from the south project limits to Allman Street.
  • Merkel Company finished the street lighting and removed the temporary signals in the County Q/WIS 64 intersection.
  • American Asphalt finished paving driveways and parking lots.
  • Arbor Green continued to restorate throughout the project. They also planted trees and shrubs in the roundabouts.
  • Century Fence finished the remainder of the pavement marking.
  • Safemark removed the detour signing and barricades.

Anticipated work schedule for the week of October 31, 2011:

  • Chippewa Concrete Services will finish pouring colored concrete sidewalk in the boulevard from Allman Street to Ann’s Way. They will also pressure wash and reseal the colored concrete islands.
  • Arbor Green will finish the restoration throughout the project. They will also install the pedestrian shelters in the Allman Street roundabout area.

Work zone safety tips

  • Buckle up for safety.
  • Expect the unexpected.
  • Stay alert.
  • Watch for flagging operations.
  • Merge as soon as possible.
  • Don't speed. Remember, fines double in work zones.
  • Don't tailgate.
  • Keep a safe distance.
  • Observe posted signs.
  • Be patient.
