Meeting scheduled for US 151 and Ducharme Parkway, Fond du Lac

December 2, 2013

Intersection improvements being constructed in 2015

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region in Green Bay is announcing a public involvement meeting to discuss the proposed improvements to the intersection of US 151 and Ducharme Parkway in the city of Fond du Lac in Fond du Lac County. The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, December 10 from 5 to 6 p.m. at the University Commons Room UC 114, UW-Fond du Lac, 400 University Drive, Fond du Lac, WI 54935. A short presentation will be made at 5:10 p.m.

The project modifies the Ducharme Parkway intersection with US 151 by adding an extension of Ducharme Parkway to the east and slotted left turn lanes on US 151. Following construction, left turns and through movements from Ducharme Parkway will be prohibited. Right turns onto US 151 will still be allowed.

During construction, US 151 will remain open with lane closures, but access to Ducharme Parkeway will not be available at various times. The project is planned for 2015 and will take approximately two months to complete.

The meeting will follow an open house format. No formal presentation is scheduled. Project representatives will be available to discuss the proposed project and address any questions or concerns. Local officials, property owners and other interested parties are encouraged to attend.

Citizens who are unable to attend the meeting, or would like more information, may contact Project Manager Bryan Learst, WisDOT NE Region, at (920) 492-4139. Written comments regarding the project can be mailed to Bryan Learst, WisDOT NE Region, 944 Vanderperren Way, Green Bay, WI 54304 before December 26, 2013. Citizens who are deaf or hard of hearing and require an interpreter may request one by contacting Bryan Learst at least three working days prior to the meeting.
