May 3, 2013

Work zone traffic updates available at Wisconsin 511 online

Maintenance work is scheduled to begin Monday night on the Madison Beltline (US 12/18) bridges between Monona Drive and South Towne Drive.

Nighttime lane closures will occur in the work zone from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

The eastbound Beltline exit ramp to Monona Drive will be closed 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. The westbound entrance ramp from Monona Drive will be closed 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Broadway will serve as the alternate route during the ramp closures.

The project will repair expansion joints along the Beltline bridges spanning the Yahara River. Work is scheduled for completion in September.

The initial stage of work will narrow lanes on the Beltline in preparation for a traffic shift later this month. All lanes of traffic will remain open during peak times for the duration of the project. Additional ramp closures will be posted.
