Public information meeting October 20 for US 10/Ryan Street in Calumet County
October 10, 2008
Public encouraged to attend meeting
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WISDOT) Northeast Regional Office in Green Bay is announcing a public information meeting to discuss preliminary plans for the reconstruction of US 10/Ryan Street from County HR to the east corporate limits in the city of Brillion, Calumet County. The meeting is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, October 20, 2008 at the Brillion Community Center, 120 Center Street. A short presentation will be given at 5:15 p.m.
The purpose of the project is to rehabilitate and reconstruct the deteriorating roadway. Drainage will also be improved in the project area. The project includes extending the curb and gutter and sidewalk west to Progress Drive and adding turn lanes with larger turning radii. These upgrades will also enhance safety and aid in accessibility to adjacent businesses.
The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide input, and ask questions concerning this project. Maps showing the proposed improvement alternatives will be on display. WisDOT representatives will be available to discuss the project on an individual basis.
If you are unable to attend the meeting, or would like more information, contact WisDOT project manager Bill Bertrand at (920) 492-5708.
