Public meeting September 23 for WIS 175 in Washington County
September 10, 2008
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Southeast Regional Office in Waukesha is announcing a public information meeting to discuss the design of an eleven-mile segment of WIS 175 in Washington County. This segment is located between Maple Road (Germantown) on the south and WIS 60 (Slinger) on the north. The meeting for this project is scheduled from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. on September 23, 2008 at the Cabela’s meeting rooms - Cabela’s, One Cabela Way, Richfield, WI.
The WIS 175 design involves resurfacing a major portion of the roadway with reconstruction in the village of Richfield, the WIS 167 intersection, and Meeker Hill. In addition, a multipurpose trail will be constructed on the west side of the roadway from the village of Richfield south to Beechwood Industrial Court, which is located just south of Hubertus Road. Preliminary design concepts will be on display at the meeting.
The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide input, and ask questions concerning the project. Maps showing potential improvements will be on display. WisDOT and representatives of Westbrook Associated Engineers, Inc., will be available to discuss the project on an individual basis. There will be a short formal presentation at 5:30 p.m.
