I-39/Business 51 interchange deck removal scheduled this week

Motorists on I-39/US 51 in Stevens Point can expect delays

Construction crews are removing the bridge deck from the north Business 51 interchange over I-39/US 51 in Stevens Point this week.

• Motorists on southbound I-39/US 51 can expect to encounter one lane of traffic and reduced speeds between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m., tonight (June 24).
• Motorists on northbound I-39/US 51 can expect to encounter one lane of traffic and reduced speeds between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m., Wednesday (June 25) and Thursday (June 26).

To avoid any potential delays motorists may want to use alternate routes.

The work requires favorable weather conditions and is subject to change.
