Families encouraged to meet State Patrol officers and see vehicles and equipment at Timber Rattler game on Friday

June 18, 2008

The Wisconsin State Patrol invites families to dress in red, white and blue and to bring a camera to photograph their children with State Patrol officers and vehicles - including a new Dodge Charger cruiser and an impressive police motorcycle - at the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers game on Friday, June 20, at Time Warner Cable Field at Fox City Stadium in Appleton.

At the game, a State Patrol color guard will present the national flag before the opening pitch. The State Patrol also will have a display at the main gate where a trooper will provide a demonstration on the importance of safety belt use and inspect child safety seats to ensure proper protection for youngsters.

The Timber Rattler game on Friday is Family Frenzy Night. Children under 12 eat for free, and there will be fireworks after the game. The parking lot opens at 4 p.m. and the gates open at 5:30 p.m. The game starts at 7 p.m.
