Hoan Bridge deck patching work to start in Milwaukee County

Some lane, ramp closures to be expected

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation has announced that there will be some temporary lane and ramp closures coming along the Hoan Bridge as part of a $410,000, four-week bridge deck patching project, between the Lake Interchange and the Port of Milwaukee Interchange.

At various times, these ramps may be closed:

  • Carferry to I-794 northbound
  • I-794 to Lincoln Memorial
  • Lincoln Memorial to I-794 southbound
  • I-794 to Carferry southbound.

The ramp closures will only be allowed from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

The schedule will have the following impacts:

  • One-Lane Closures:
    • I-794 Northbound:  allowed anytime, except between 6 a.m. to 9 a.m.
    • I-794 Southbound:  allowed anytime, except between 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Two-Lane Closures:
    • I-794 Northbound (daytime):  allowed between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
    • I-794 Northbound (nighttime):  allowed between 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
    • I-794 Southbound:  allowed anytime, except between 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Zignego Co., Inc., is the prime contractor. Zenith Tech, Inc., is the subcontractor that will perform the deck patching work.
