Part of US 45 and the County T/Stearns Drive intersection to close in Winnebago County

May 23, 2008

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) regional office in Green Bay is providing updates on two projects in Winnebago County. Beginning Tuesday, May 27, closures scheduled at the following locations will have traffic impacts.

  • US 45 between WIS 116 and County II will be closed to traffic beginning in early morning Tuesday, May 27 and remain closed for approximately three months. The detour route is US 41 to WIS 76, north on WIS 76 to US 10, west on US 10 back to US 45. Breezewood Lane/Woodland Road is also being closed at US 45 and no cross-traffic will be allowed at this intersection. Cross traffic at the other intersections within project limits along US 45 (Lakeview Road/Oak Ridge Road & Grandview Road) will be maintained. This closure is part of a project to expand US 45 from two lanes to four lanes between County G and County II.
  • The County T & Stearns Drive intersection (just east of US 45) is closing in early morning Tuesday, May 27. This closure will last approximately six weeks and is part of the larger project to construct an interchange at US 45 & County T. There is no detour route as only local traffic is impacted. Direct access from County T to US 45 has been closed since last fall and will remain closed through project completion (currently scheduled for August 29).

Motorists are advised to use caution when driving through or adjacent to this or any work zone.
