State reprimands West Allis auto dealer

In an effort to maintain its motor vehicle dealer license, G & B Auto Sales LLC, 7606 W. Beloit Rd., West Allis, agrees to follow better business practices. The dealership admitted that between December 1, 2007 and February 29, 2008, it failed to submit 48 title applications to the department within seven days of a vehicle sale as required by state law.

G & B Auto Sales will allow agents or employees of WisDOT to inspect all business records necessary to verify that it has discontinued this illegal practice and is in compliance with state law.

The agreement is part of a special order issued by David Schwarz, administrator of the state Department of Administration's Division of Hearings and Appeals. The action came as the result of an investigation by the WisDOT Division of Motor Vehicles Dealer and Agent Section. Violation of a special order is grounds for denial, suspension, or revocation of a representative license.
