Public meeting scheduled May 21 for WIS 100 (Brown Deer Road) in Milwaukee County

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is conducting a public information meeting to discuss proposed improvements to WIS 100 (Brown Deer Road) between WIS 57 (Green Bay Road) and I-43. The proposed work includes removal and replacement of the existing pavement and other miscellaneous improvements. In addition, information pertaining to the I-43 bridges project (Green Tree Road, Good Hope Road, and Brown Deer Road) will be available at this meeting. The I-43 bridge project includes bridge rehabilitation, safety improvements for the south on-ramp at Brown Deer Road, and installation of barrier wall along I-43 near Brown Deer Road.
The meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at the Indian Hill School, 1101 West Brown Deer Road, River Hills from 5 to 7 p.m.
The purpose of this meeting is to update the public on the proposed design and provide an
overview of the construction schedule for both the WIS 100 project and the I-43 bridges project.
The meeting will be conducted in an open house format with project exhibits on display for review.
There will be a brief presentation at 6 p.m. to provide an overview of the WIS 100 project. WisDOT
and consultant staff will be available to answer questions. Participants will be able to provide
written or verbal comments to the project staff during the meeting.
