U.S. DOT Maritime Administration (MARAD)
The mission of MARAD is to promote the development and maintenance of an adequate, well-balanced, United States merchant marine and to ensure that the United States enjoys adequate shipbuilding and repair service, efficient ports, effective intermodal water and land transportation systems, and reserve shipping capacity in time of national emergency. The site includes speeches, testimonies and advisories, information about the Administration's programs and initiatives, publications, statistics, forms, regulations, maritime history and photos, and a section for children and educators.

United States Coast Guard (USCG)
The United States Coast Guard is a multimissioned maritime service and one of the nation’s five armed forces. Its mission is to protect the public, the environment, and U.S. economic interests – in the nation’s ports and waterways, along the coast, on international waters, or in any maritime region as required to support national security. The site has information on Coast Guard equipment, boating safety, search and rescue, licensing, historical information, images and artwork.

National Imagery and Mapping Agency Maritime Safety Information Center (NIMA MSIC)
The mission of MSIC is to collect, evaluate and compile all available worldwide navigational data for dissemination by early warning radio and satellite broadcasts, hardcopy publications and electronic access to data files. The site includes the NIMA Hydrographic Products Catalog, NIMA navigation publications, a marine navigation calculator, broadcast warning messages, information on threats to shipping, offshore drilling information, and a time zone map.

American Association of Port Authorities (AAPA)
AAPA promotes the common interests of the port community, and provides leadership on trade, transportation, environmental and other issues related to port development and operations.The site includes government activities and testimony, industry related statistics, images, a glossary, international port information, data on the cruise industry and a section for children and educators.

American Society of Naval Engineers (ASNE)
The purpose of ASNE is to advance the knowledge and practice of naval engineering in public and private applications and operations. The site includes a calendar of naval engineering events, a brochure about naval engineering and links to naval engineering information.

International Association of Classification Societies (ICAS)
Dedicated to safe ships and clean seas, IACS contributes to maritime safety and regulation through technical support, compliance verification and research and development. The site includes ship class data, technical standards and publications.

Chamber of Maritime Commerce (CMC)
The CMC's mandate is to provide a forum for members to advance the development of sound marine-related government policy, advocate for the development of efficient and economic marine transportation systems, and to promote awareness of marine transportation. The site includes information about marine issues, shipping news, a calendar of events, and marine transportation resources.

The Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation
The mission of the Corporation is to serve the U.S. intermodal and international transportation system by improving the operation and maintenance of a safe, reliable, environmentally responsible deep-draft waterway. The site includes annual reports, handbooks, regulations, press releases, and sailing times.

Maritime Global Net
Maritime Global Net is an international meeting ground for ship owners, cargo brokers, and job candidates all sharing and obtaining ideas and information to promote the safety and efficiency of shipping. The site includes maritime news, a broker's exchange, industry quotes, and a vessel and port databases.

NSnet serves the shipbuilding community with a database of maritime Web sites, shipbuilding pictures, a catalog of shipbuilding publications, a maritime glossary, discussion groups, online short courses, and industry news.

Country listings of marine transportation links, maritime services, yacht and boat supplies, shipping cruise and sea freight links, bunkerfuels and bunkering, and port, harbor and marina information.

Schednet Schedules Online
A portal for international shipping information, including sailing schedules to and from Asia, USA tariffs, cargo tracking (sea and air), a port index, logistics information, equipment specifications, shipping news and trade links.
