Vehicle registration fees

The 2007-2009 Wisconsin Biennial Budget (2007 ACT 20) increased some DMV fees effective January 1, 2008. Fees collected support the Department of Transportation budget.

Amateur radio (AMA)	$15 issuance fee and annual registration fee for vehicle type
Antique (ANT/AMC)	$5 (non-expiring)
Automobile (AUT)*	$75 - annual
Bus - Motor bus (BUS)	Fees vary by vehicle weight
Bus - School bus (BUS)	$5 - every 5 years
Bus - Urban Mass Transportation (BBX)	$5 - every 5 years
Camping trailer (RVT) - See Recreational vehicle trailer)	$15 - annual (Use chart for proration )
Celebrate children (KID)*	$15 issuance fee, plus $20 annual donation, plus annual registration fee for vehicle type
Civil Air Patrol (CVG)*	$15 issuance fee and annual registration fee for vehicle type
Civilian group (CVG)* (EMT, firefighter and rescue squad member)	$15 issuance fee and annual registration fee for vehicle type
Collector (COL/CMC)	$50 one-time issuance fee and twice the annual registration fee for vehicle type. Temporary plates are available for $5 for five consecutive days or $30 for the month of January.
Collector special (CLS)	$15 issuance fee and annual registration fee for vehicle type
Disabled parking (DIS)*	Annual registration fee for vehicle type
Disabled veteran parking (VET)*	Annual registration fee for vehicle type
Driver education (AUT/DVC)	$5 - every 5 years
Ducks Unlimited (DUK)*	$15 issuance fee plus, $25 annual donation, plus annual registration fee for vehicle type
Endangered resources (END)*	$15 issuance fee plus, $25 annual donation, plus annual registration fee for vehicle type
Ex-POW (XPW) (1st)	$0 (no registration fee.)
EX-POW (XPW) (2nd and subsequent, or spouse)	$15 issuance fee and annual registration fee for vehicle type
Freemason (MGP)*	$15 issuance fee and annual registration fee for vehicle type
Gold Star family (GST)*	Annual registration fee for vehicle type
Golf Wisconsin (GLF)*	$15 issuance fee, plus $25 annual donation, plus annual registration fee for vehicle type
Green Bay Packer (PAK)*	$15 issuance fee, plus $25 annual donation, plus annual registration fee for vehicle type
Hobbyist (HOB/HMC)	$50 one-time issuance fee and twice the annual registration fee for vehicle type. Temporary plates are available for $5 for five consecutive days or $30 for the month of January.
Human services vehicle (HSV)	$75 - annual
Lao Veterans of America (MGP)*	$15 issuance fee and annual registration fee for vehicle type

Wheel tax (Municipal registration fee for autos and light trucks)	Vehicle kept in City of Beloit: $10 - annual. Vehicle kept in St. Croix County: $10 - annual
Wisconsin National Guard (WNG)*	$15 issuance fee and annual registration fee for vehicle type
Wisconsin Salutes Veterans (SPT)*	$15 issuance fee and annual registration fee for vehicle type
Wisconsin State Patrol (WSP/WSC)	$5 - non-expiring
Wisconsin Women's Health Foundation (WHF)*	$15 issuance fee, plus $25 annual donation, plus annual registration fee for vehicle type
*These plates may be personalized for an additional $15 per year.

Title - Original or transfer of title	$69.50 for original title or title transfer (includes $9 environmental impact and $7.50 supplemental title fee) $62 for title transfer to a surviving spouse $53 for a neighborhood electric vehicle

Counter service and fast service processing fees:
Disabled ID cards at DMV service center	$3 plus Disabled ID card fee, if temporary disability
Fast service processing fees for title and registration (DMV will handle within two business days of receipt of application by mail)	$4 for title or title and registration. $2 for registration only. Registration renewal transaction at DMV service center offering registration services	$3 plus regular registration fee
Title and registration at DMV service center offering registration services	$5 plus regular title and registration fee
