Alert: The following services will be unavailable on Saturday, January 5, 2013 from 12 a.m. (midnight) to 6 a.m. CST due to system maintenance.
You are about to begin a transaction which will involve sending your credit card number over the Internet, a public communication network. To protect your privacy, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) requires that you use a secure browser.
Secure browser required
To ensure a reasonable degree of security, you must use a Web browser with Secure Socket Layer (SSL) capability (e.g., Netscape Navigator 2.1 or later or Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0 or later). If you do not use an SSL compatible browser, we will not be able to accept your request. You must configure your browser to cache SSL pages or you will not be able to print the response page. See Response page confirms transaction below regarding browser configuration and printing the response page.
You must enter correct information
The key to a correct and successful transaction is the accuracy and completeness of the data you enter. If you enter incomplete or inaccurate information, your transaction may not be processed. Neither WisDOT nor US Bank are responsible if you submit inaccurate or incomplete information. Consequently, it is very important that you enter information accurately and confirm it is correct before sending it.
Credit card information
To ensure that your credit card is not charged more than once, don't hit the "Continue" button more than once. Wait for the transaction to be completed.
Successful submission not guaranteed
Your transaction will be processed by a state-of-the-art system which has been designed in accordance with good commercial practice; however, neither WisDOT nor US Bank can guarantee that all transactions submitted through this system will be successfully completed.
After the system processes your request, a response page will be returned to your browser indicating that a charge has been added to your credit card. This is the only confirmation you will receive. We recommend that you print the response page for your records. Note: Your browser must be configured to cache SSL pages in order to print the confirmation page. Due to printing methods, some versions of Netscape Navigator may not be able to print this page. If you have trouble printing the response page, simply 'copy and paste' the text into any word processing program and print it.
Immediate update of record
Online renewal transactions are updated as soon as you have successfully completed the transaction. Your new certificate of registration and new sticker will be mailed out within 10 days.
Operating your vehicle:
You can legally operate your vehicle on the public highways of Wisconsin once you complete your online renewal.
