Dane County has three service centers:  Madison East, Madison West and Westgate (Renewal Center)

Third party vendors - these businesses provide a range of services for DMV

• Commercial driver license pre-trip and road tests
• Driver training schools
• Temporary license plates
• Title-registration service providers (also see temporary license plate providers - above)

If you will be taking a knowledge test, we recommend:

• Arriving 45 minutes to 1 hour before the service center closes for Class D (regular license) or Class M (motorcycle)
• Arriving 1 to 1-1/2 hours before the service center closes for CDL (commercial driver license)

10 a.m.-5:45 p.m. - Tuesday, Thursday

All DMV service centers will be closed the following days in 2008: January 1, January 21, February 18, May 26, July 4, September 1, October 13, November 27-28, December 24-25, December 31.

This service center has full access for persons with disabilities.

DMV customer service centers accept cash or checks only. Credit cards are accepted for online transactions.

10 a.m.-4:45 p.m. - Saturday (closed 1:15 p.m.-2 p.m.)

Westgate service center will be closed the following days in 2008: January 1, January 21, February 18, May 26, July 4, September 1, October 13, November 27-29, December 24-25, December 31.
